Here’s the 2nd set of amazing collections by Manila Fashion Festival‘s mix of innovative young breed and renowned fashion designers during its successful four day event. Diverse inspirations brought out an an exciting array of silhouettes, patterns, and a kaleidoscope of colors.
Here are some highlights from the second and third day of the spectacular fashion show. Watch out for the final set of photos of designer collections up next.
JINGGAY SERAG -‘Aurelia’ featured pleated details and soft silhouettes with unusual cuts representing fluid movements, like the dissections of the jellyfish.
ANTHONY RAMIREZ -‘Sober’ is edgy yet glamorous. This is a homage to the ‘70’s “glitter punk” embodying the life of the party, through a bold combination of crepe, velvet, and tulle.
ARIN – ‘Acidly Sheep’ is a take on sophisticated psychedelic fashion. It is an electrifying balance of couture and printing technology in neomodern chic style.
DARYL MAAT – ‘City Surfer’ is a different twist and a take on the freshness of modern street fashion that shows a surfer’s deep connection to the ocean, even beyond the breaking waves.
MARTIN BAUTISTA – ‘Saturn’ embodies the freedom, colourful, and fun vibes of the designer’s childhood inspired by the colours, strokes and imagery of the galaxy.
SASSA JIMENEZ – ‘Alice 2.5’ is a shoutout to the classy, modern femme, also conveying a movement that is unique to feminine fashion as structure and softness whimsically worked together.
CHRIS DIAZ – ‘Flourish’ is marked by Prince Charles and his flair for gardening that includes an imagery of Anthony Armstrong-Jones’s English wildflowers for its colourful prints from cornflower, cranberry, avocado to chartreuse.
